When to Send Your Wedding Invitations

Hey friend!

How excited do you feel right now? I´m guessing an 11 on a 1-10 scale, as you are getting ready to send out the wedding invites for your big day.

MAIL YOUR WEDDING INVITATIONS

A general rule is to send the wedding invitations out 6-8 weeks prior to the wedding.  Ideally, your guests should receive the information at least 6 weeks ahead. This will give your guests time to make any travel arrangements, clear their schedules and book a baby sitter if needed, etc.

WEDDING INVITATIONS FOR DESTINATION WEDDING

If you have a destination wedding or if you have invited many international guests to your wedding, you want to give your guests more time and send out the wedding invites at least three months ahead. Especially if you have not sent out a save the date. (Link to why send save the dates).

Don´t forget to include important information such as travel details and directions, accommodation info, and a date to rsvp, information about no children (link to how to request no children).
