local print center

You can also use for example FedEx Kinkos, Staples, Office Max, Local Print Shop, etc. Most of them prefer to receive a PDF with the 'bleed' option selected.

HOME PRINTING

You can also print right at home on 8.5" x 11" or A4 size card stock paper (or even pre-cut paper). I recommend using at least 100 lb card stock for quality and feel. Download as a PDF with the "Save Paper" and "Show Trim Marks" options selected.

I made a video on how to print at home:

When printing at home, I always recommend test-printing one page on standard copy paper before printing on card stock. This is to make sure you have the correct paper settings and to see how the colors appear on print. Make sure the print settings are at 100% or Actual Size (not Scale to Fit).

TRIMMING INSTRUCTIONS

Add trim marks by clicking the ‘Show trim marks’ option when downloading your PDF. Also, select the ‘save paper’ option to place multiple cards on one sheet of paper. You can trim your cards by using the following methods:

  • X-ACTO KNIFE & RULER

This method is super quick and will give you great results. To protect your surface from damage, be sure to use a cutting mat. Also, be careful with your fingertips (speaking from experience 😂).

  • PAPER TRIMMER/PAPER CUTTER

You can find inexpensive paper trimmers on Amazon or at any arts & crafts store. Paper cutters are a bit more expensive but will give you great results as well.

  • SCISSORS

Line up a ruler to the trim marks to draw a very light lines with a pencil. Use scissors to cut along the pencil lines.

PRINTING CARD WITH A BACKSIDE

I also made a quick video on how to print double sided:

Please note that sometimes printing double sided does not always achieve the perfect outcome, since it it hard to perfectly align every sheet of paper. Make sure to keep any designs at least 1/4'' from the edges of the template in order to avoid any misalignment getting noticed when printing double sided.

Again, If you bump in to any questions as you edit, please convo me on Etsy and I will be happy to assist.

USING AVERY TEMPLATES

  • Download your finished design as a JPEG, and go to https://www.avery.com/templates.

  • Type in the number of the Avery template you have in the ‘Enter Product or Template Number‘ box.

  • Click ‘Start Designing’ and once you are in, click ‘Select This Design’ to select the first blank design from the selection view.

  • Under ‘Images’, upload your JPEG and it will ensure that the spacing is spot on so printing will be super easy.

  • Once you are done, select ‘Preview and Print’, then ‘Print It Yourself’.
